Provide your pre-teen with the essential training and awareness to develop personal boundaries and basic self-defence skills, building their confidence, awareness and responsibility as they stretch their independence. Students will cycle through exercises based on the six main ways to stay safe as they discover their personal boundaries with various ways to set and enforce them from family to strangers, verbally and physically. Students will practice striking key target areas for physical self-defence, while standing up or on the ground; as well as simple ways to keep safe through situational awareness. This workshop addresses prevention and protection from assault, sexual assault, harassment, sex trafficking and more; it may be triggering for some participants.
