About this Course

Freedom 55 is an Adult Bike Skills course designed to build the skills and confidence of beginner or returning riders, aged 55 and up, to make cycling fun and safe. The course is now being offered in a hybrid format (2-days, partially online). Friday from 5-6:30pm will be online and Saturday from 11-2:30pm will be in person outdoors. The course begins with a thorough overview of traffic rules, cyclist rights and responsibilities and more. Next, participants develop bike handling skills in a controlled environment in a parking lot skills development session. The course ends with a 7 km group road ride.
